Innovation & Leadership Speaker
Richard Noble was the driving force behind the Thrust2 programme which brought the World Land Speed Record back to Britain in 1983 and is a respected speaker on leadership and innovation.
Against a background of today’s low-risk culture, Richard specialises in developing high-risk ventures. His other projects include the ARV Super2 light aircraft, the Atlantic Sprinter Blue Riband contender, Programme Funding, an original television funding company, and the last, Farnborough Aircraft, which is creating the first point to point taxi aircraft.
Richard Noble held the land speed record for over ten years with Thrust2. He then led the team developing the first ever supersonic land speed car, the 100,000HP ThrustSSC, effectively retaining his world record. In 2019 he stepped away from the project and a new team is taking Bloodhound forward.
He has received numerous awards including the RAC Diamond Jubilee Trophy, the FISA World Land Speed Trophy, the Guinness Hall of Fame Medal, the Sir Henry Royce Medal and an OBE.
