Richard background is in education, most notably as headmaster of the failing Grange Primary School. In just two years, he famously transformed it into one of the most acclaimed learning environments in the world. He was celebrated by UNESCO and the UK Government for its incredible turnaround.

His first book, Creating Tomorrow’s Schools Today, has become a must-read text around the world for those engaged in the transformation of education. In this session, Richard examines the challenges associated with change and how risk aversion can stifle individuals and organisations.

He offers strategies, and tools, individuals need to succeed both individually and as part of an organisation. Based on the research in his book, Simple Thinking, Richard will share with participants the mindsets, behaviours and attributes needed to aim higher and achieve more.

In 2019 Richard was asked by LinkedIn, to create bespoke courses for their online learning portal LinkedIn Learning. Drawing on content from Richard’s keynote speeches and his best-selling books, the courses focus on Smart Thinking Under Pressure and Developing Mental Toughness. The courses have been taken by hundreds of thousands worldwide, and translated into several languages including Spanish, French and Japanese.
