David Schneider
David Schneider is a comedy writer, director and performer and Executive Creative Director of “That Lot” (a leading social media content and strategy company) and a keynote speaker on social media and entertaining after dinner speaker and awards host.
David studied modern languages at Oxford University where he also took part in a physical comedy act that contrasted with the trend towards stand-up in live performance comedy in the 1980s.
He became known to many for his roles on TV, David Schneider wrote and appeared in Alan Partridge; Knowing Me, Knowing You, The Day Today and Friday Night Armistice and has featured in films as varied as Mission Impossible and Horrid Henry. His sitcom Births, Deaths and Marriages, in which he also starred, aired on Radio 4.
He also directed a series of Josh Widdicombe’s series Josh, a six-part sitcom for BBC 3 starring Josh himself alongside Jack Dee, which was critically-acclaimed when it broadcast in 2015.
An avid tweeter with more than 490,000 followers, David set up his own social media agency called That Lot, providing content for brands and businesses as well as giving workshops and talks on social media at various industry and academic events. He has also given a TEDx Talk – ‘Is the Internet Making Us More Stupider’
