Short Notice Bookings
Whilst it is exciting to hear that live events could be returning in the near future and enquiries are coming in, many of the online events enquiries we receive are still very short notice and sometimes fall within a week or less. In the past few weeks, we have even booked a few speakers with less than 24 hours’ notice.
It is a challenge in the fact you have to respond quickly, and whilst from time to time in the past live events have come in at short notice, it is certainly more noticeable with online events as long-term planning has been harder.
From getting the briefing call in place, a possible separate tech check, contracts signed, presentations sent over and event login details sent over it feels like a lot more organising than a short notice live event – but probably isn’t and it is something we are used to now.
Will this short notice lead time remain? Is this going to be the new norm? I guess time will tell and how well live events return but feel for the foreseeable future, until people are sure and comfortable with meeting face to face, short term notice will be here for a while. We, of course, relish the challenge and thank everyone who has booked with us – even it is just one day’s notice.
Special thanks to Anthony Bennett, Shola Kaye, and Anna Hemmings who all recently spoke for us with short lead times. And to James Poulter who was in the middle of moving and hop online to deliver a short notice talk and to Alan Chambers who stepped in with two 2 hours notice to speak at an event recently.
Whatever the time frame of your event please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to help you.
