Marc Convey is motivational speaker, burns survivor, and advocate for triumph over trauma. Marc’s strong belief is that you can survive anything if you develop the inner resources to face it and forge a new path, whatever your physical limitations.

We wanted to share some updates on some recent events and projects Marc has been working on.

Our October Book of the Month is “Lift Your Impact: Transform Your Mindset, Influence, and Future to Elevate Your Work, Team and Life” by Body Language and Communications Speaker, Richard Newman.

In this book you will discover the techniques and methods that will help you transform your body language; adapt your style to the needs of different people, companies, and cultures; discover how to captivate your audience’s emotions.

International Mens Day is once again taking place on 19th November this year. The main themes of the day to encourage maximum participation in the day are –

Making a positive difference to the wellbeing and lives of men and boys
Raising awareness and/or funds for charities supporting men’s and boys’ wellbeing
Promoting a positive conversation about men, manhood, and masculinity

If you are planning an event around this time, these are a few speakers you may wish to consider.

In the past, I have helped to supply comedians and entertainment acts for Christmas Parties but in recent years there we seem to have experienced more clients looking for a bit of Christmas Inspiration.

A number of clients have held end of year conferences or away days with an inspirational speaker to round off the year leaving staff feeling inspired as they head into their Christmas break.

Whilst it is fair to say that our most popular speaking requests are for speakers on mental health, diversity, leadership, change, and technology, we of course do get requests for speakers on other subjects too.

Some of the speaking requests can be a bit more specialist than others, so we wanted to take this opportunity to just highlight some of the speakers we work with whose subject matter is a little more specific than others. 

Back in July Maria Conceicao became the first Portuguese Woman to conquer K2 and is set to make history as she has just embarked on her attempt to summit Puncak Jaya in Indonesia (the highest peak in Indonesia) and become the first Portuguese woman to complete the prestigious Explorer’s Grand Slam. 

The Explorer’s Grand Slam requires participants to summit the highest peaks on all seven continents (the Seven Summits) and ski to both the North and South Poles. Everyone at Scamp Speakers wishes her all the best as she embarks on this new challenge.
