Specialist Speakers
Whilst it is fair to say that our most popular speaking requests are for speakers on mental health, diversity, leadership, change, and technology, we of course do get requests for speakers on other subjects too.
Some of the speaking requests can be a bit more specialist than others, so we wanted to take this opportunity to just highlight some of the speakers we work with whose subject matter is a little more specific than others.
Sonia Blandford is an award-winning leading international education practitioner, writer and keynote speaker on Social Mobility.
Trained as a music teacher at Bretton Hall College Sonia Blandford has a career spanned five decades including leadership posts in Barnsley, Wiltshire, Bath, Hounslow, and Bristol, gaining two Masters (music and education), and was among the first to be awarded an EdD (leadership, management and administration) in the UK.
Moving to Oxford Brookes University as a senior lecturer, Sonia was appointed Deputy Dean and Professor of Education, during which time she led a number of multi-national contracts focused on leadership and school improvement, Sonia was also a founding tutor on the NPQH programme.
A pioneer in breaking down prejudices, Sonia Blandford wants opportunities for all regardless of their background, challenges, or needs, her influence over the country and excellent work can inspire success in all. In her talks Sonia speaks on social mobility, what it is and how organisations can support it, and how we can be doing more.
Dr Zoe Wimshurst is a world expert and keynote speaker in using the visual system to enhance performance.
She works with elite athletes from a wide range of sports including Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen and Football player Cristiano Ronaldo. She has also applied her work to military, and counter-terrorism teams as well as police forces and large-scale professional service organisations such as NASDAQ.
Zoe has experience in keynote speaking as well as more practical workshop-focused events. Her talks range from highly focused on how you and your team can harness the power of your visual system to enhance performance, through to how the way in which we perceive the world is unique, and embracing this can lead to increased creativity and team cohesion. Her talks often use visual illusions to demonstrate how perception varies from person to person, and how our brain is responsible for creating the world around us.
Lucy Houliston is a Zoologist, digital content producer, and National Geographic Young Explorer and speaker with a passion for weird wildlife and conservation.
An experienced speaker, Lucy Houliston has delivered school talks internationally; presented at numerous conferences and festivals; and moderated and hosted live and digital events for the likes of Reserva: The Youth Land Trust, the British Ecological Society, and National Geographic.

Catherine Knibbs is a Clinical Doctoral Researcher, Online Harms and Cybertrauma Consultant, Public Speaker, Author (of 5 books to date), Educator, and TEDx Speaker.
Catherine Knibbs is a Child/Adult Trauma Psychotherapist in private practice. She works with global organisations regarding child sexual abuse material, Mental health, Immersive Technologies, and the harms that can occur in the new digital spaces.
She writes about and works with Cybertrauma, which is any trauma that occurs through an internet-ready device or medium. This is much more than Online Harms covers in its remit to date.
Her books include Cybertrauma: the Darker Side of the Internet; Children, Technology and Healthy Development, Children and Sexual-Based Online Harms, Cybertrauma and Online Harms, and Data Protection and Cybersecurity for Practitioners.
